Your favorite Angry Birds mobile physics game that became very popular last year will officially become a board game from Mattel.
Players will draw cards that show either brick structures or pigs that tell the player where to direct an angry bird with a slingshot. You’ll immediately recognize most of your favorite characters from the Angry Birds game including the iconic angry red bird all of which are recreated as plastic figures. Noticeably absent, though, are the little blue birds that split into three smaller versions of themselves.
The game board which was introduced at the CES 2011 will be available for purchase in May and will cost $14.99. The video game version became available as a PlayStation mini for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable this week, and console versions will also eventually be available on PS3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii.
