Adele dominated the UK singles chart this week claiming two spots in the Top 5. Her heart-wrenching single 'Someone Like You' leaped 46 places to claim the top spot after the soul diva tearfully performed the ballad at the Brit Awards.
Her performance was seen by around 5 million TV viewers and sparked a huge spike in downloads blocking last week's chart topper 'Price Tag' by Jessie J and the monster hit 'Born This Way' by Lady Gaga. Adele's previous single 'Rolling In The Deep' also received sales boost landing at No.4.
Her '21' and '19' albums also stormed the album charts grabbing No. 1 and 4 spots respectively. This is the first time since the Beatles in 1964 that a solo artist or a group charts 'double-double' (two singles and two albums in Top 5).
