Katy Perry Premieres E.T. Video Featuring Kanye West

Today is an alien invasion in the music world. Katy Perry's 'E.T' not only landed No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100, the music video for this futuristic song also premiered today.

The video was directed by Floria Sigismondi who has previously crafted videos for Christina Aguilera, Fiona Apple, and Marilyn Manson. I was impressed with the heavy styling to make the alien the most beautiful creature but was so disappointed with the lack of substance.

This will still become a favourite of some Katy Perry fans and will help with the longevity of the single. “E.T.” is the fourth single off Katy’s Grammy-nominated album Teenage Dream that hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album, which has been nominated for Album of the Year Grammy boasts the previous three singles, “California Gurls,” “Teenage Dream,” and “Firework” which all peaked at No. 1 making Katy the first female artist in 11 years to score four No. 1 singles from one album.

I like to be whipped. and it’s funny that I care. But I prefer to be spontaneous.” She also revealed that she is submissive in the bedroom.

Taylor Swift Flies High With 20 Million Albums Sold

Taylor Swift received a big plaque from her label as she ends her European leg of her 'Speak Now' tour to commemorate album sales of 20 million worldwide of her three albums, ‘Taylor Swift’, ‘Fearless’ and ‘Speak Now’.

“It’s just sort of beyond my comprehension to get a plaque like that, and the fact the fans have done that much for me in such a short period of time is unreal, and I’m so excited and so thankful,” she told The Associated Press after the presentation.

She added: “I couldn’t think of a more perfect way to end this European run. I’ve gotten to experience just parts of the world I never thought I’d get to see, nonetheless play shows in and have the crowds singing the words back to me.”

Rob Lowe looks hotter than ever in the new cover of Vanity Fair. It's hard to believe that he's 47 because his body will rival any man half his age. No matter what happens to his body, Rob will always be hot because of those beautiful baby blues & that deliciously manly jawline.

In the interview for the May edition of the magazine Rob shares extracts from his book 'Stories I Only Tell My Friends: An Autobiography.' He also discussed a bunch of his contemporaries like Charlie Sheen, Matt Damon, the late Patrick Swayze, and Tom Cruise.

The cover was taken by legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz. The May edition of Vanity Fair hits newsstands on Thursday.

This week boasts an impressive array of debut albums claiming top spots for the album sales. Hits Daily Double claims that Chris Brown's 'F.A.M.E' claimed the top spot with 273K, the second highest total after Adele.

Oscar winning actress and American Idol alum, Jennifer Hudson is not far behind at No. 2 with 'I Remember Me' selling 163K. Meanwhile, Adele's '21' is still going strong at No. 3 with 96K.

Amazon Launches Cloud Player

Google and Apple are working on their cloud based player but Amazon beat them to the punch. Amazon just launched the Cloud Player, a music player that lets anyone upload their music to Amazon’s servers and play them via the web or Android.

It starts out with 5 GB of free Cloud Drive storage, but be offered the chance to upgrade to 20 GB with an MP3 album purchase through Amazon. You'll be able to add songs and albums purchased from Amazon, as well as music from your own media library. Plus, documents, photos and video too.

Cloud Player comes in two forms, an app for the web and an Android app counterpart. Both players allow users to upload their music, create playlists and organize their music. And because it’s a cloud-based platform, users can access their music and settings from any compatible computer or Android device.

It's interesting to see how it will perform once Google and Apple launches their products. Will it have the same fate as the Kindle?

It's official, Britney Spears announced on her GMA mini concert this morning that she will be touring with Enrique Iglesias this summer.

Beyonce Fires Her Father

Beyonce has finally ended her professional relationship with Mathew Knowles.

In a statement released to the Associated Press, the Grammy winning diva confirmed that she had parted ways with her father “on a business level”, but she didn't say what led to the split. The R&B singer however expressed that she's still devoted to her father on a personal level.

"He is my father for life and I love my dad dearly. I am grateful for everything he has taught me," Beyonce said.

Is this the right decision for Bey? Will she finally begin to show signs of artistic growth? They didn't mention who will manage her career but it looks like her husband Jay Z will step up and give a better direction to the 'Halo' singer.

Carson Daly Pissed At Britney's Management

Carson Daly expressed his frustration on Twitter when he learned that his interview with Britney Spears must be screened by the pop star's management before it airs on his show. He even went on ranting that even his interview with the late Michael Jackson wasn't that restricted.

I was just TOLD my @britneyspears interview tomm on @ampradio MUST b pre-recorded & submitted 4 approval by HER mgmt b4 it can air! F THAT!

@hausofnicole never that restricted. Even when I interviewed Michael Jackson, it wasn't anything like this...it's really insane.

@xproudofbritney jst shocked her mgmt won't let her do a normal interview. She probly doesn't even know.

In fairness to Britney, I believe she's just trying to protect herself. She's been ripped into pieces by the media during her breakdown so it's just wise for her to control every thing written or reported about her. To her fans who are continuously bitching that she's "lazy," give the girl a break. We're lucky she's still doing interviews and limited performances even if it's pre-recorded. We just need to accept that she will never be the pop star that we used to love in the late 90's til 03. If you can't accept her now, then stop complaining and just move to the planet GOAT.

Britney Spears Invades San Francisco

San Francisco loves Britney Spears! The pop star performed a free concert at the Castro District as part of her promotional campaign for her album that's being released on Tuesday.

Britney fans started arriving at dawn and lined the streets in order to catch a glimpse of the 'Hold It Against Me' singer. For those who didn't make it to the concert, you can watch it in HD on Tuesday when it airs at ABC's Good Morning America.

From what I've seen on YouTube, today's show was better than her Vegas performance. Check out a clip and some photos from the San Francisco show below.
