Katy Perry regained her reign as the Queen of Billboard Hot 100 this week as her single 'E.T' replaced the remix by Rihanna and Britney Spears at the top spot. The futuristic single sold 344K digital copies which is up by 21% from last week giving it a new sales peak and the boost it needed to return to chart summit.
Meanwhile, Beyonce made her debut this week but at a much lower position than her fans would have hoped. The song charted at No. 33 this week and shifted 77,000 copies, matching the first-week total of Christina Aguilera’s “Not Myself Tonight”, which debuted at No. 23. It's too soon to call 'Run The World (Girls)' a flop because most Beyonce singles chart really low on their first week after being released. If this single keeps failing to deliver after the video and performances, then we can call it a flop.

Jennifer Lopez continues to dazzle us across the dancefloor with a new club ready track from RedOne, who along with Lady Gaga provides the flawless diva-turned-American Idol judge with a hypnotic retro-80s synths accented with chunky beats.
Jennifer said that Gaga’s participation in the production process was “kind of cool. She’s a great songwriter. I don’t just love her lyrics, but also her melodies.” 'Hypnotico,' which was originally recorded by Tami Chynn, is one of the two songs that the mother monster contributed to the 'Love?' album the other being 'Invading My Mind.'

American Idol and X Factor have to watch out NBC's new singing reality show 'The Voice' as it is already getting high praises from critics and TV viewers.
The show, hosted by Carson Daly, instantly became a top trending topic on Google and Twitter, with viewers giving it a positive response. Media critics have the same sentiments as the TV viewers giving the show high marks for fun, chemistry and showmanship.
Here's what they have to say:
Daily Mail: “Aguilera, whose recent stumbles include a mangled version of the national anthem, settles comfortably into the role of queen bee, sparring nicely with her male cohorts.”
Billboard: “… there’s no denying that right now this is Aguilera’s show. She takes control whenever possible, blending congeniality, glamour and sass in attractive package.”

Rihanna is going back to her reggae roots and is now releasing 'Man Down' as her next single from her album 'Loud.' She hasn't released a song like this since her debut and this will surely surprise most of her fans who are expecting another mainstream pop single.
It's unclear at this moment if her label is releasing her two singles simultaneously because they also started promoting 'California King Bed' earlier this month when the pop star performed it at the AMA's and American Idol. Who knows, they might market this at Rythmic stations and still continue to play CKB at pop stations.

Did you know that this could have been the routine for the breakdown for 'Hold It Against Me?' I have a feeling this was the routine that Brian Friedman showed Britney Spears where she 'freaked at' and in the end she just couldn't do it.
I wish we could have seen Brit perform it like this. It could have helped the single even more.

Every song from Super Mario Bros. 3, is rendered in an acoustic/jazz style with live musicians in this YouTube video. This makes me feel like I'm 10 years old again.
The video is about 11 minutes long but it's worth watching it because there is a bonus track in the middle of the soundtrack.
The Gleeks Invade New York

The Gleeks are in New York for a week and a half to shoot scenes for the season finale for season 2 of the hit musical show 'Glee.'
The girls were spotted filming a musical number which involved dancing their way down a huge flight of stairs in the middle of Times Square in their stunning fashion outfits. On the other hand, the boys were spotted watching from behind the scenes with a more relaxed appearance.
Two of the glee girls are missing from the shoot. Mercedes is rumoured to be shooting some scenes at the Paramount studios but there's no news on where Santana is. Maybe kicked out from the New Directions?

Christina Aguilera Transormed, Opens Up About Divorce And New Album

It looks like Christina Aguilera's PR people have been monitoring all the bad publicity about the pop star that they are now trying to transform her into the new America's sweetheart.
In an interview with USA Today, the judge for the new reality singing competition discarded her 'Dirty' image and swallowed the humble pill.
“The last year has probably, with the divorce and considering everything that’s gone on, has humbled me a little bit,” she says with a laugh.
Aguilera says The Voice represents a new beginning for her in every sense. The concept of the show intrigued her and took her back to why she started singing. “Being in this business for quite a few years now, sometimes you do take things for granted. I’ve had my ups and I’ve had my downs. You have to take the good with the bad in this business. It gets me back to the root of why I got into this business, and that’s real, raw talent,” says Aguilera, 30.
She also hinted about plans for her comeback in the music world.
The show films in Los Angeles and has allowed Aguilera to stay near her son, Max, 3, and record her new album. The next release, Aguilera says, will focus on her personal evolution.I hope everything goes well for 'The Voice' judge this time. If Britney managed to make a big comeback after her breakdown, then so can Christina.
“For this one, I really want to make a real rooted, heartfelt record. After someone goes through the things that I have, regarding a divorce, there’s a lot of emotions that are stirred,” she says.
“I prove to myself that I’m stronger than just to let things take over me, and take over my head space,” Aguilera says. “I’m very honest with myself in seeing if there are things that I need to change about my life, or if there are things I need to do stepping forward.
“That’s in part why I got the divorce. It’s a new beginning for me. It’s all positivity for me. I’ve been through some hard things, but I’m on the up and up. “

Lenovo X1 Leaks, Targets Super Slim Laptop Market

News about the Lenovo Thinkpad XI leaked online and it's believed to hit the market in May. The makers of this slim laptop is aiming consciously to take on the new Macbook Air.
One of the selling points of this new gadget is that it has a 160GB solid-state state drive and is very slim at about 0.85 inches at its thickest point. The system would try to bring over Lenovo's reputation for strong designs by making its 13.3-inch display cover out of jab- and scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass. It is powered by a 2.5GHz Core i5 notebook chip instead of the low-voltage processors currently in Apple's line and it boasts a 10 hour battery life.
A disadvantage for the device is the price which is rumoured to sell around the $2200-2900 price range. It's pretty dope but for that price, I can buy the sexier Macbook Air, an iPad and an iPhone.

It's so nice to see Britney socialize with other celebrities again. The 'Femme Fetale' joined Nicki Minaj at The Factory nightclub in West Hollywood Friday night for the Barbie rapper's after party. The two pop stars also premiered the remix for 'Till The World Ends' which is scheduled to drop on iTunes this coming Monday.
